Yeah but Bernie said we can tax billionaires 5% every year and he promises that that will generate 4.4 trillion dollars over the next 10 years. So that’s $440 billion a year that we can contribute to the national debt that only increases by about 2 trillion dollars a year which means in 25 years we can have the national debt at only 79 trillion dollars. So that’s cool.
Oh and I’m sure adding a 5% wealth tax won’t cause any negative repercussions like inflating real estate while deflating stocks assets being liquidated in order to pay taxes which of course the liquidation of said assets also forces them to pay capital gains tax which significantly reduces their value as they are Force sold and I’m sure it won’t cause hesitation with investing in small startups or mid-sized companies because assets that now have less than 5% dividends or growth are going to be less desirable. If we could just figure out how to generate the other 1.6 trillion dollars in tax revenue every year we would be fine.
Oh wait I just looked it up and it turns out he doesn’t actually want to apply that tax revenue to the national debt he wants to use it to pay for really expensive unrealistic handouts that would actually put us into even more debt.
You guys I think Democrats might be complete morons. We are so fucked
