Anytime someone says they want a European Army or talks about “NATO forces will supplement” in a certain way it just translates to “things I want another army to do but not me”
You can see that countries like Spain who contribute the very least to NATO are the ones that want it the most. Why do you think that is? Again “things I want another army to do but not me”

this map is almost the inverse of the ‘how willing are you to fight for your country’ map. Pessimistically, this support for an EU army could just be a measure of how much countries want to free ride on others.
