  1. Recruiters omit shit all the time.

    When I joined up as a seventeen year old kid I got told all kinds of shit by my recruiter… And wasn’t told a whole lot more shit.

    Never once did my recruiter tell me about having to stand a six hour watch, then spend six hours doing maintenance, then get woken up halfway thru my six hours of sleep before my next watch just to spend two hours field daying the same section of berthing, all while getting pancakes and powdered egg loaf for every meal because we’ve been on station for ninety days straight without surfacing or ever seeing the sun or breathing fresh air that whole time.

    None of that changed what I signed up for.

  2. Unless if he was a Seabee (CB), she is looking quite the fool. I will take it on the side that she probably meant for that long of a deployment without going ashore.
