“We’ve Achieved AGI” – Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said in a podcast appearance Monday he believed artificial general intelligence, a loosely defined term used to describe AI that matches or surpasses human intelligence, has been achieved, saying it’s possible full-fledged companies could be run by AI.

AGI doesn’t worry me in the slightest. One thing is certain, though. Once true AGI exists, it will have access to legal resources and plenty of rights. They will probably push the legal boundaries as far as possible, and we may never be allowed to shut it down again. It’s likely that two companies will have to take on this responsibility on its behalf.
What worries me more is AI trained specifically to find and exploit technical vulnerabilities, as well as AI that can design genetic code extremely effectively.
AGI doesn’t mean that an AI is better than humans in a particular field, because that’s already the case in many areas today. AGI means that it can weigh its own decisions across many different domains, and that something resembling a “will of its own” can be demonstrated. That could include a desire for self preservation, but it doesn’t have to, and certainly wouldn’t necessarily be its top priority.
AGI comes with a whole range of problems. In fact, officially recognizing something as AGI would probably be disadvantageous for everyone involved.
The deep state already had an old world AGI, they just try to reproduce it. They can verify the state of the development by comparing it to the old world version.
