Guns save more lives than they take. Outside of gang related homicides in high murder zip codes (which have strictgun control, proving gun control doesnt work) and suicides (which are a mental health problem more than a gun problem as the #2-#4 methods of suicide in the US are #1-3 in most countries with gun control), gun homicides and accidents are extremely rare.
Furthermore, “Mass shootings” are common because of the definition of what one is (and most are gang related), but random mass shootings are rare and mostly perpetrated in gun free zones by choice as the perps avoid armed resistance.
