    The plan would reduce bills by $79 million a year, saving the average residential customer about $100 a year. It also calls for freezing rates for three years. I&M says the plan is made possible by increased revenue paid by large customers including data centers.

    A lot of pro-datacenter people had hypothesized that major base load customers like AI could make this happen, but this is the first time we are seeing an actual regulated utility make it reality.

    So these are subsidiaries of American Electric Power? What do their shareholders think about them giving up 79 million a year?
