      Respondents broadly distinguished between Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed and the popular yet intensely controversial Twitch personality Hasan Piker that Dr. El-Sayed had associated with during the primary. (Two-thirds correctly predicted that Mr. Piker’s favorability index would be less than 20.)

      A slim majority also reported having supported El-Sayed, who previously served as the Wayne County director of public health, over Rep. Haley Stevens. This is somewhat different than the dead heat recorded [amidst the primary](https://old.reddit.com/r/neoliberal/comments/1upne7t/comment/ow3ypys/) with an even smaller sample, and the degree to which differing samples and imperfect recollection played roles is unclear.

      Over 9 in 10 also expressed a preference for Mr. El-Sayed in the general election against his Republican opponent, former Rep. Mike Rogers, with no abstentions and three defections. Here, the median respondent was slightly off in their prediction, expecting 80–90% support for the Democratic nominee.

      Finally, if one arranges respondents by their answers and posits an even distribution among selecting each interval, the range of those who predicted a Democratic margin of 2 to 4 points (respondents 17 to 33) implies a median figure of **D+2.5**.

      Only time will tell on the accuracy of that figure.
