Submission Statement: India will offer fresh subsidies to chip designers from its new $13.4 billion semiconductor fund as it steps up efforts to build a domestic industry spanning the entire supply chain. Small firms or startups working on chip products will be eligible to receive seed funding of as much as 50% of project costs, capped at 150 million rupees ($1.6 million) through a design-linked incentive plan. India will also offer subsidies for advanced packaging, legacy packaging and chip fabrication units
