This story has truly shaken me. I started reading more into what happened after seeing a statement from Minority Leader Jeffries, and the whole situation is just so heartbreaking.
This administration has incalculable blood on its hands.

ICE abolishment is the compromise
I’ve always prided myself on being the level-headed and compromising one. By right now, I only feel rage. This admin is heartless, stupid, and everything in between

This broke me. At 20, you’re still a kid in some ways, and this guy had already been through a lot for his age. No one should have to go through this, but especially not people who followed the rules and did their best and were still turned into worse than criminals. He was right: Criminals at least have some protection and rights that don’t get you automatically bolted with a tracker and awaiting your kidnap and deportation. He was treated more like livestock.
There is no consequence severe enough for the people responsible for all of this. It just doesn’t exist.
