Found this today at the thrift store. I'm not really that into predictive programming and I get this was the news of the day in 1968. But in 4 pages they hit just on about 5 conspiracy theories so I had to post this here.
You have 9/11, they are bragging about how strong the WTC towers are going to be.
Then you have Braun laying out a quarantining protocol in the context of astronauts because they could potentially be bringing back alien germs that could wipe out humanity.
And then just Braun himself who was a former Nazi and part of operation paperclip.
Popular Science feels like it was a straight up 3 letter agency propaganda tool because another article in the issue covers how the phone companies are now able to trace telephone calls. They present it as a way to crack down on prank callers which apparently was becoming an epidemic at the time which to me is hilarious.
