A US military delegation from the embassy in Rabat visited Dakhla Atlantic Port. The port is about 65 percent complete and is due to open around 2028–2029. It is being built as an Atlantic outlet for landlocked countries in the Sahel, alongside Tanger Med and Nador West Med. The visit is about trade routes and security partners
