Anyone remember during COVID mainstream news and as a result the news was mirrored here on Reddit Conspiracy about having to do a PCR test in your ass?, this was going on for about 3 months or more, this is not a joke. I tried to use the search feature on here but it seldom works. I tried Qwant and Yandex search engine but no luck. Anyone have links from main stream news or here on it?. Thank you in advance for help/replies.

COVID can be detected via an anal swab, and may actually be detectable for longer than if done from the upper respiratory tract.
Sounds like you had a different Covid experience
Lots of craziness was scrubbed from the internet over that time
My mom ended up in hospital in Jan of 2021 and long story short by that point everyone in the hospital was SUPER cautious about doing anything bowel related because apparently that area was viewed as super contaminated/contagious and was only being done if it was an emergency
