This headline is self-explanatory, but Trump today is “promising” (read: he totally kept his previous rebate check promises) that if Republicans win Congress, then he will pay people $5k each (hyperinflation will make that worthless in no time).
Lady earlier in the convention lambasted the government printing money. May the M2 rise to new heights and the yield sink to new lows under President Donald J. Trump’s & Friends’ tutelage.

I would try to describe how bad this is in more detail, but if this strategy works I recommend the US being dissolved.

Also, reading an NOTUS (or Washington Sun now) article that said “The president said the money would come from tariffs that Democrats will halt.”
Is that true?
If so, isn’t this a rehash of the tariff rebate checks which never happened?
