The populist right is rising around the world. Why not in Canada?

  1. Can’t read the article, but I’d imagine that a cute reason is that the cornerstone of Canadian nationalism is being not the US.

  2. People don’t want to admit it, but even if you couldn’t afford a house, you are forced into equities and you definately did better than actual homeowners (cause home prices are going down while equities are booming), and if you are unemployed, you still have healthcare, so you aren’t really forced into a scarcity zero sum mindset that seems to grip other populist countries
