Sounds like a good man with a complicated past. With nothing being convicted against him, I am not going to judge. I pray he finds peace and safety in this time. His lawyer is right, he is an American hero. We need more men like him who will stand firm on their values against a wave of crazies.
I hate how this has turned into a left v right thing. I’ve heard Massachusetts has some pretty messed up laws in the area of insanity defense, so maybe fixing that becomes political.
Maybe that’s true, but people should be furious that the law is like that, not that some guy actually has a moral stance. The worst thing this guy may have done would be some sort of reverse jury nullification. Anyone mad at him for doing that is broken.
