Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that the recent losses of the Ukrainian armed forces amount to approximately 27,000 dead and wounded per month.  According to him, the data comes from Ukrainian partners.

Tusk stated this during a speech in the Sejm on Thursday.  According to him, the new Russian strategy and technical capabilities, especially missile drones, lead to "much greater losses on the Ukrainian side".

"Recently, it has been 27,000 killed and wounded per month. And unfortunately, these are record numbers in this war. If this trend continues, the winter in Ukraine could really have a catastrophic impact," Tusk said.

This is one of the first concrete public assessments of losses by a high representative of a NATO country.

Neither Ukraine nor its Western allies usually publish exact figures.

In July, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi spoke of approximately 50,000 dead and 400,000 wounded since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, with a large number of missing.

  2. Well yeah or even more. We hear about hundreds of thousands of dead Russians but keep in mind that both sides lie. It’s part of war. Neither is saying real own numbers and is inflating opponents numbers

  3. Well at this rate will be nothing left in Ukraine in a few months. I guess you better prepare your boots cuz you’r going to “war”. To what purpose and what end only God knows. It’s all a big lie.

  4. War of attrition. If those numbers are true and the war lasts long enough ukraine will lose and russia knows it.
