Submission Statement: Emmanuel Macron has called for a moratorium on energy sector strikes between Ukraine and Russia on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly in New York on Monday.
Following a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump in New York, the French president said on X they had discussed pooling efforts “to secure a moratorium on strikes against energy infrastructure.”
Macron also discussed “the prospect of an energy truce” with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy later on Monday evening.

Tbh it seems to me that Ukraine has more to lose from trading energy infrastructure strikes, so I think a moratorium would be a net positive for them if achieved.
Uh Macron, they’re kind of at war buddy.
