Because Chris Hansen was an egotistical scumbag and the show actually did far more to disrupt active investigations that poisoned the judicial process than to do the real work needed to put monsters away.

Didn’t TCAP have a like 11% conviction rate? It never actually protected kids, just exploited people’s fears for views. Even now, Chris Hansen isn’t doing any actual work protecting children, just gaining attention for his shitty YouTube show
