Relevance: Ethiopia has taken control of most major cities in Tigray. Eritrea crossed into Ethiopia in Tigray but has retreated. Tigray rebel forces have switched to guerrilla warfare but appear to be on the back foot. This follows Ethiopia’s continued “building of case” for invading Eritrea. This war has a chance of turning in a regional war, further impacting global trade and destabilizing a region already on edge.
