Not really decentralized, the federal government decides almost everything important. Taxes are extremely high, it is very crowded and expensive, not at all a libertarian ideal.

The highest income tax bracket is 49.50%. I hope this provides some context as to how our budget is so balanced. It (sadly) is far from a libertarian paradise.

If only they weren’t a statist hellhole that literally wanted to tax farms out of existence because cow farts are “greenhouse gases”.
Ignore the fact that abandoned, uncapped oil wells generate far more methane than all cows but oil companies are rapidly capping those to lower their greenhouse gas emissions for better ESG scores, meaning we could have MORE cows and still be doing better collectively.

Balancing the budget is like sealing the holes in a sinking ship. If you don’t do this, then you are going to flood eventually.
