Yea but Anti-Car Urbanists are for the most part supporting Urbanism because of empty promises by populists, not for legitimate pro-growth reasons.

Joking aside I agree with the thesis I just can’t help but feel like it’s hopeless and “if my aunt had wheels she’d be a bike” to speculate on “what if there was a large political movement that was exclusively pragmatic and realistic and people just ignored cultural pressure to conform to certain social norms that make otherwise practical ideas taboo?”
