I mean this is a pretty old problem. While some sex workers are ethical and will cut off clients who become overly attached or obsessive, many rely on running scams basically to make bank. They allow the men to become deluded into thinking that this could develop into a relationship, and basically use that as leverage to extract money and gifts from them. “Oh if you bought X for me I would love you so much”, etc… These guys turn into “whales” and that’s where a sex worker can really make big.
