Surprised it didn’t happen already honestly, but I think that Christmas and the Magdeburg attack delayed this announcement for a bit.
The inevitable outcome of this is just a CDU and SPD coalition right? Or Greens added in too if the former two can’t add up to over 50% of the seats.

Bro why is Germany so slow at calling elections?
In the UK, it’s done and dusted within a month of calling the election. The two are similarly sized, why do they need four months with a lameduck government?
