The funds are part of a bill passed after Uvalde that were supposed to roll over into this year. OSDE says that they didn’t interpret the law to allow for a rollover. Congresspeople from both sides in Oklahoma are saying that it is supposed to roll over, with one (Republican) congressman bringing up impeachment.
I live in Oklahoma and Walters is probably the most hated person in the state right now.

On the face of it this feels like it’s veering into embezzlement territory – where is the money going if not’s to school security? – which seems on brand for someone with an ongoing FBI investigation. The combativeness is crazy though. It’s pretty rare to have a State Official openly pick a fight with the legislature of the same party.
Stitt and him are buddies, but he’s not weighed on this right?
It’s honestly insane that Stitt hasn’t dropped his support for this loser. There hasn’t been a single positive headline written about him since his election, and basically the entire (Republican supermajority) legislature hates his guts.
