How JPMorgan is moving closer to 5 days a week in the office

  1. Interviewed with Berkshire today. New policy effective in December is five days in the office. Even hybrid work is dying.

    Competitive employers like J.P. Morgan and Amazon can do this because the demand for their positions is so high that it can make unpopular decisions that will decrease the pool of applicants. It doesn’t matter because there will always be a surplus of applicants for prestigious companies.

    The vast majority of companies have a more difficult time attracting workers, ergo draconian policies like this do not work as well.

    I wish people would understand this.
