Level the playing field for all ex presidents, regardless of how they served their terms, or shut the fuck up.

Okay, but you already normalized previously impeached octogenarian philanderers and we have one that can speak coherently and balance the budget.

  3. I dont mean to downplay or sane wash but this is so laughably never going to happen I dont even want to entertain it

Amazing that such unserious people get such serious jobs. Guess thats what happens when voters pick people who represent them

Come on, you cowards. You want the Roman LARP so bad, just make him President for Life.

  6. There is a zero percent chance of this being ratified so I’m not going to worry about it, but it’s a sign of how much of a batshit cult of personality the Republicans have become that they even introduced it.

  7. Well, this is at least legally how you’d go about it.

This isn’t some subversion of Democracy, it’s a rule change being attempted by the proper channels. If people actually want it? Fine I guess.

The 22nd Amendment is an Amendment itself after all.

EDIT: Never mind the amendment might as well just say “Trump Specifically should be able to run for a third term and nobody else” that’s some nonsense lmao.

  8. Just for fun, Democrats should propose an amendment allowing presidents who serve two consecutive terms to serve a third term. It’s not a *good* amendment, but it’s a heckuva lot better than this one. Why would we allow bad presidents (like Trump, who lost an interim election) a third term, but block popular presidents (like Obama, who aren’t losers) from a third term?
