Implying that DUI is not a crime…?
Honestly, fuck ICE but fuck people who commit DUIs even more.
Hate to say it but this is good politics.
The Biden team should have been doing this PR. Sadly the crazy progressive groups would have yelled at him. Like they did when he called that murder migrant an illegal alien and apologized. It one thing not to say it generally but another thing to apologize referring to a murder as an illegal alien.
It’s good politics to show you take criminal migrants seriously cause their biggest victims are migrants who are afraid to go to the authorities. Good politics and policy (cause it stops trump from stopping all immigration). But no some insane DC activist groups need to feel good about themselves.
I don’t think we should really get worked up about deporting illegal immigrants with 3 aggravated DUIs. We shouldn’t get worked up about deporting criminals at all. The issue is work place raids and mass deportations that will involve legal residents being targeted and deported.
Law enforcement and ICE should already be working together to evaluate deporting a guy like this even before Trump’s orders.
context: 9/10 of the people listed were murderers and rapists. But there were not enough of such people to get to the nice round number of 10, so they added a repeat DUI offender to it.
To be clear: this person ABSOLUTELY need to be deported, it’s just that this person doesn’t belong on a list with 9 rapists and murderers.
Yeah this is a super cold take.
Serial DUIers *are* future murderers when they inevitably kill someone. Good riddance. Dems should embrace getting rid of these assholes and not defend them.
