I low key don’t hate this idea if done right. I bet this poll changes dramatically if two things had been different.
1. Trump wasn’t a huge dick about the whole thing from the start.
2. The US offered to pay each resident $300,000 (about $15B in total) and complete freedom to pick up and leave or be eligible for US citizenship.
Greenland does offer some strategic opportunities and I have no doubt there are significant resources that could help the US compete with China on it.

These poll results all depend on how the question is asked, right? Results would be different if they appended “plus you’d get a *welcome to America* stimmy check of 100 grand” which is how most people assume this deal would be done
