I mean this article doesn’t really acknowledge the madness of the average American voter. The idea that whatever populist phenomenon that the US is experiencing with the MAGA movement will just disappear with a moderate outsider isn’t realistic.
I do think Trump will be unpopular by the end of his term and that a democrat will probably return to the white house with a popular vote but that still leaves a sizeable part of the population that still leans further right than at any point in recent memory which should be addressed too.
