This is literally, bar for Bar, what Russia does to former Soviet satellites. Expect a totally organic breakaway movement led by a former CIA officer that claims to be worried about the treatment of historical American speakers and demands annexation by the U.S. to protect their right to watch nascar.
This stupid idea feels predicated on the premise that the only real or valid nationalism is the American nationalism, and that Canadians (or any other country) only need a tiny bit of nudging to shed their own sovereignty and become part of America.
I really want to ask someone that thinks that Trump’s plan may work how much economic pressure THEY would need to feel before allowing China to annex the USA into itself.
