From my Chinese friends, there isn’t even necessarily joy over this; their thinking goes that if the US is sniffing their own farts this hard over like, Canada, then they very well might attack them (China) because they’ll buy their own propaganda over how everything is tofu dreg copy bullshit that’d lose in a second in a real fight
So even the people who objectively benefit the most from this are freaking out
