    I would love some legal takes on whether this amounts to a criminal conspiracy. They seemingly committed a crime, knew it was a crime, and took steps to cover up the crime..

    I have been long on the side of it being ethical to train AI on publically available datasets. The argument that this is exactly how humans work resonates with me. I found the arguments around web crawlers and robots.txt really interesting. This, however, seems ludicous. Also interested in what people closer to AI then I am think of AI being trained on pirated material.
