    Bad, Trump may need Biden’s input should he get into crisis.

    But this in itself is not illegal.

  2. Not gonna lie, I assumed it was an automatic process as a former POTUS is basically just another private citizen, Secret Service bodyguards aside.

    This is a great policy. It forecloses the possibility of a former President stealing classified documents and storing them in an unsecure location, for example their bathroom. It’s good that this sort of thing won’t be happening.

    I saw this noted in the Economist but Trump, or more likely someone(s) in his circle, is becoming surprisingly adept at utilizing random precedents to justify positions he would have either way
