It looks like Trump’s solution to the U.S. debt is going to be defaulting on large portions of it and then coming up with reasons for why it shouldn’t have to be paid. No matter how hard they try to sell this it’s still going to end the same. Nobody is going to be able to trust the federal government to pay its debts in the future and that is pretty worrying.
