Donald Trump has directed leaders at the Pentagon for 8% annual reduction in the defense budget over each of the next 5 years

Some here believe that Trump is relatively libertarian friendly. Some here believe he is super authoritarian.

Either way, it’s still important to note when he actually has good ideas; such as cutting the “defense” budget.

I have doubts congress would pass anything like this, considering the reported House GOP budget bill called for increases in defense spending.
