At the start of the Ukrainian war, the liberation of Izium lead to the discovery of mass graves. Mass graves of men, women and children who had been tortured and executed by the Russian government. Over 400 individual bodies discovered at the least. This is one of many. Many instances of Russians executing civilians, of sending airstrikes to apartment blocks, abducting, torturing, launching barrages onto villages.
Americans don’t know war. Americans see fit to support it for the sake of their own endeavors or ideologies. This has been a practice of ours for decades. Americans do not know what it’s like watching a phone go off in a body bag. Americans do not know what it’s like returning to a table full of empty chairs and a home backyard used as a grave, buried from the acts of a country that had stolen all of that from them.
America no longer has principles, much less the ones it was founded upon. It faded, corroded and twisted them until they became unrecognizable. We are now allies to the Russian government who have committed these acts, defend them, and now assist them in the annexation of the country they had done this too.
We don’t have principles. We are a walking corpse.
