Good hopefully this increases the chance of a MAGA lunatic successfully primarying her so we can get that Maine seat.

  2. Collins has also criticized DOGE. Some voices on one issue will embolden others on another. Trump thinks he can go to war with everyone. EU, UK, Ukraine, Canada, Mexico, South Africa, GCC & co., and other Republicans at that. The very question of TIME will limit it. Because someone has to meet with those who stand on the other side. Someone has to negotiate with them. This someone has to be given a framework from the higher levels of administration. And the Republican Party itself is divided. If Hegseth thinks he MUST have an extraordinary meeting with Sikorski, he won’t meet with some general, or a representative of the military in Iraq, or a minister from the Philippines. If Rubio is to meet with Sikorski, this should be added to the calendar of the foreign ministers of Egypt, Pakistan, Colombia, or Malaysia. That is why such a powerful country as the US has always taken care of that in different regions, different problems would be taken on by others. And how long will it take some of the disgruntled to try to “lobby” senators? And who will track them down if the CIA and FBI are in disarray and chaos? Plus the war on cartels and Chinese influence.

Collins has quite always been a moderate republican as she would need to be in order to keep her seat in Maine
