The UK is really rushing to fill the void the US is leaving I see. 2.5% in 2 years time. They really are upping that spending game nice and slowly.

As much as I hate seeing international aid get cut, this is really good optics and politics. Being able to signal increasing defence while also doing it through money that (wrongly) is viewed as “not helping people at home” further drives the narrative against Reform.
