    Glad I didn’t have to be the first person to come here and say this has been the first time a US president had responded to this.

    No US president save for Joe Biden did (because he is based), and even then the State Department had to walk it back

  3. China has to know it’s a no, right? Americans couldn’t go a year wearing a mask let alone asking them to make a massive sacrifice in blood and treasure for another country.

  4. Officially the United States doesn’t even recognize Taiwan as a country well also giving them billions in arms. It has always been ambiguous towards Taiwan.

    I’m shocked for once Trump has made a foreign policy statement that isn’t a compete departure from diplomatic stances historical held by the US.
