I’ll be downvoted for stating the obvious here:
– yes Trump and Vance are major assholes, no Zelensky didn’t deserve this and didn’t provoke it.
– Zelensky is between a rock and a hard place because he has no real alternative, and unfortunately he needs Trump more than Trump needs him. If Europe steps up, then Zelensky can probably tell Trump to shove it, but I doubt that will happen.
– Zelensky needs to do the right thing for Ukraine. I know we all want Trump to get some karmic justice for being an asshole but it isn’t going to happen.
– if it takes Zelensky resigning to save his country, he should do so. History will be the final judge here, and it’s not going to be kind to Trump.
