  1. Le Pen is less pro-Putin than the US government. We are living through interesting times.

Almost all the main far-right parties in Europe still pale in vileness to Trump and the Republicans. One exception maybe is AfD, and even then hell would freeze over before they accept a lesbian leader.

Just like in february 2022, she’s able to read the room and  will tone down the pro-russia rhetoric.Dont think it means much about what she’d do if she became president in 2027.

  4. Even though he was hoping to enable the far-righ, Trump might unintentionally reverse the direction that the west was heading towards (a more right wing west) and reverse the gains that the right has been making throughout the west through the last 5 year or so.

I don’t get why politicians like Milei, Farage..etc are sucking up to him. Like the guy will literally ruin your chances at being elected. Poilievre will soon attest to that.

  5. Don’t be fooled, she’s trying to appeal to moderates so she can reverse course once in power and further fuck over Ukraine.

Gives me so much schadenfreude seeing all these western conservatives/right winters like poilievre and le pen, who were earlier trying desperately to align themselves with trumps whole anti-woke “country first” agenda now frantically backtrack upon realising that the orange moron threatens their country irrespective of internal politics
