Recently I have been going to more libertarian pages that I used to frequent and I have noticed something very disturbing. Most libertarian pages are under attack by obvious bots and troll farms. The pages on Facebook seem to be all trolls and maybe a few boomers who haven’t figured it out yet.
It’s easy to spot the bots because of their post history. On Facebook it’s easy because they all have cartoon characters as their profile picture or a still from a movie or aomething. None of them have a genuine profile picture if you scroll through all of their old profile pics.
They are trying to poison the discourse and in a lot of ways it’s working. It worked on the MAGA crowd. The people on the libertarian pages that haven’t figured it out are being influenced and spreading the same message.
The bots spread hate and try to “dunk” on anyone who comments a dissenting viewpoint. They will argue as long as you will respond. Do not argue with them. Be aware of them. Call them out for being a bot. This usually works. Be careful who you engage with or what you are being influenced by. WE ARE UNDER ATTACK!
