I’m sorry, is this a misleading headline? From the article:

How convenient that this happens after the cutoff seems to have given the Russians a leg up in Kursk. I try not to be conspiratorial but this shit makes it difficult.

Will Russia agree to a ceasefire? I think they want to but Ukraine still controls bits of Kursk which they can now take the time to reinforce. I imagine that would be a major sticking point for Moscow here.

I don’t expect a ceasefire to hold, should it happen. I suspect, should it happen, it will be broken—I presume by the Russians. Trump will blame Ukraine for breaking it regardless, and then the US will truly throw the Ukrainians to the wolves.
