      Seriously why are they so shocked? Is it really that much of a surprise what Trump said?! Do they see Dems as pro-Maduro commies? I’m not sure since they cheered on Biden’s announcement of deportation protections (maybe it can be argued viz. the far-left faction), so what is it? Selfishness? Naïveté? Stupidity?

      How is this better than talking to people at diners? It’s not representative.

      The worst part of this kind of ‘coping’ journalism is the response. It’s not ‘leopards ate their faces’, it’s more akin to spousal abuse, and a lot of people here are enjoying blaming the victims.

      I think a lot of people voted for Trump simply because they were bored, not because they gave any thought to policy outcomes.
