  1. European countries hitting snooze again.

Inb4 “it’s not in the EU!!”- I know

  2. It really does seem like Trump restoring aid to Ukraine obliterated Europe’s autonomy drive

I mean I hate to say this but all that we suspected about Europe are kinda true

Imagine having one of the largest parliamentary majorities in modern history and a four year cushion until your next election and still not being able to provide leadership.

  6. It was always going to be risky. Factually speaking, European powers, even the big ones like the UK, France and Germany, don’t have the capabilities to support forces on the other side of Europe to fight a pitched war against Russia and guarantee success, without US support.

We should be prepared to risk it anyway, because the alternative of risking Ukraine falling and then having Russia vs Europe but without Ukraine on our side is far worse even than that. This sucks and frankly European governments suck for not having the balls to do this, and seemingly struggling to even follow through on a longer term rearmament program. It really didn’t help that the US pulled the rug out from under Europe though, which simply makes confronting Russia very difficult. NATO should have confronted Russia inside Ukraine before Trump came along frankly.

Europe only hope is that all Russia is saying is true and they just have a feud with Ukraine and nothing else

Sorry Volodymyr, but a pensioner’s gotta eat, and by eat I mean go on at least 3 vacations on the Canaries every year.

The “coalition” was always stupid. Told the Russians that if they stopped fighting then they would get western troops on their frontiers. Ass backwards
