People keep on saying Columbia “caved” but genuinely what were they supposed to do in the situation? The Trump administration has very tremendous leverage here and Trump is obviously vindicative. Not worth jeopardizing valuable research projects when a Dem president is probably coming in a few years to rescind anything Columbia administration doesn’t want to do.
