    Consensus forecast for headline PCEPI was also 0.3% MoM, 2.5% YoY, so actual figures matched expectations .

    **Core PCEPI** (all items less food and energy) increased by 0.4% MoM, 2.8% YoY (compared with 0.3% MoM, 2.7% YoY in January).

    Consensus forecast (per Investing.com) for core PCEPI was 0.3% MoM, 2.7% YoY increase, so actual figures surprised on the high side.

    Personal income increased 0.8% MoM in February, compared with 0.7% MoM in January. Consensus forecast was 0.4% MoM, so actual figures surprised on the high side.
