According to the article, Zelensky is preparing for his second term:
According to the newspaper, Zelenskyy last week instructed his team to prepare for elections after the ceasefire.
The first confirmation of this may come on 5 May, the deadline for parliament to vote on extending martial law, which expires on 9 May. Its cancellation would open the way for elections. According to sources, the elections are planned for early July.
Zelenskyy will thus try to take his rivals by surprise by running a fast-paced campaign, hoping that the short timeframe will allow him to run without serious opponents.

Is there any way these elections would not be influenced by the Russians? Even assuming Zelensky wins, if Russia can pump up a pro-russia opposition vote to a significant minority then it will be used as propaganda
