I have genuinely no idea why this was added onto the list.
IT’S AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE THE MCDONALDS MAKES THEIR BIG MAC SAUCE ON AN UNINHABITED AUSTRALIAN ISLAND AND SHIPS TO THE US. MY NEW TARIFFS WILL ENSURE BIG MACS REMAIN AN AMERICAN STAPLE. TOGETHER I WILL MAKE THE QUARTER POUNDER GREAT AGAIN.
The chart comes from a formula on a trade report. Said report probably aggregates a database on international trade that the US has somewhere.
My bet is that someone, somewhere, has been naming the island in their trade documentation, probably to bypass trade barriers. Kind of like how Kazakhstan suddenly starts to do a lot more trade with the US when Russia gets sanctions. But they didn’t even bother with a real country, but with an Australian territory, and whoever was there taking the paperwork just swallowed the lie.
Genetically enhanced starting their own state under human noses would be much funnier though.
Every year those darn penguins steal trillions of tons of fish from American fishermen. I for one am grateful that president trump has the courage to finally take the fight to them.
