









X user (@krishnanrohit) ran an experiment to as a few different GenAI platforms, such as Grok, ChatGPT, Claude, and Deepseek, about what was the easiest way to implement tariffs and they all suggested setting a floor of 10%, then implementing tariffs based on the trade deficit, and came up with numbers that almost exactly match the numbers the Trump admin came out with.

I imagine the guy that prompted this was probably confused why they would need a snake to implement tariffs
I would like to see for which countries the fictional tariff rates published by the USA deviate the most from this simple formula. Russia is obviously one, I imagine the UK is too.

Generative AI is the worst thing ever created by man, not because it’s smart but because it’s dumb as hell and very confident.
This may not be the *worst* of all possible timelines, but it’s gotta be in the running.
